Why hasn't there been a firmware fix for SMB on the 6015?

Share name one word? Use an account that has a password and make sure SMB folder is shared and that user has FULL rights to it.

Also - from you first post - the Server IP address should be the IP address from your MAC; not the Xerox device.

for the 3635 there is a new firmware out

Some Xerox copiers cannot scan to a linux-based filesytem. SMB fails. You can try port 445. SMB uses 139,445. So for those using NetApp ot Mac's there probably isn't a solution until Xerox makes a fix available. This is just an assumption with your copier. It's a definite fact for the 3635's.

Hi, I have the same problem. but, except I can not enable guest account and I can not use simple passwords. obligatory contain special characters.
the shared folder is on a server domain (I domain admin privileges).

Workcenter settings are:

Server Type: SMB
Server Address: IP address of the FileServer
Port #: 139
Login name: account name created for sharing "mydomain \ xeroxwc"
Password - Password for account "mydomain \ xeroxwc"
Share Name: name of the shared folder on the server is "ScanDocs"
Server Path: \ \ ServerIP \ ScanDocs

  I tried many times but no result
Using different settings username does not change the result.
It seems not possible to enter a password: account password when I enter "mydomain \ xeroxwc" to access the shared folder on the settings of the Workcentre returns error: "There is an error with your password, check ..."

The WorkCentre management does not like special characters in the password field, this is not possible for domain account

I tried activating guest account, it works but it is not acceptable.

bypass the problem when configuring SMTP server for sending e-mail with the scanned document and it works well even if it is not way to solve problem

we hope to solve the problem with special characters in the password field?

Hallo, my account password has numbers and characters but no special characters.

Maybe it doesn't like numbers... don't know...but now it works... :)

yes, seems the 6015 doesnt like password with special characters....

have you tried a non complex password?

I tried with different settings of username, also username with password: macpcname and account name. But nothing... it didn't works.

On my iMac I have authomatic login.

I don't know why, but it seems to be not possible to insert a password: when I insert the password for my login account on Mac there is an error on the  WorkCenter's settings: "There is an error with your password, please check..." but the password was correct... so I don't know.

I think it is not possible insert password in that field.

But I found the solution: in the account panel of iMac I noticed the guest account that was disabled. I try to enable it and tha scan works!!! Guest account doesn't have password (my personal account has password, as I wrote before)...

I wrote the solution because I hope it could be helpful for others: in the Xerox guide there is no instruction for this...

Hallo, I have a Xerox WorkCenter 6015N and it is connected to a router, so I use it as a networkprint. 

I have Mac (Snow Leopard 10.6.8) and PC and the Xerox WorkCenter prints very well.

I need scanned document visible into a shared folder on my iMac configured the Xerox settings but I receive an error after the sheet goes through the document feeder:

"SMB Error 031-529 Scan access. Press OK".

I've read there could be error with SMB with Mac Lion but I have Snow Leopard...

The WorkCenter's settings are:

Server Address: IP address of the Xerox WorkCenter

Login name: my account name

Password - empty field

Share Name: shared folder name that is in my iMac

Server Path: empty field
