Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please take a look at the solutions for faxing from a Windows application.  As stated in the solution make sure you are using the PCL 6 driver.  On this machine the rings to answer setting is known as the auto answer and is set in seconds not number of rings.  Please see the instructions for setting the fax defaults step 5 b under the Set Fax Defaults From CentreWare Internet Services (CWIS) section. If these solutions do not help please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

I agree with you.

Also, have you noticed that the size of the jpg file and tiff are almost the same? Each image saved from the printer have artifacts from the compression jpg. Try to scan a photo with strong contrasts. If you look at the photo at 200% zoom you will see many jpg artifacts. This seems unacceptable if I choose tiff.

Using WIA driver the output have jpg artefacts, using TWAIN driver the output have good quality but some software consider TWAIN obsolete and do not support it. Please, improve the scan quality with the WIA driver.

I'm not able to scan to gmail. Is there a way to do it? Is the e-mail server of the WorkCentre 6027 compatible with SSL or TLS?

Let's start with I've read the manual and installed the latest available Xerox firmware, drivers and software stack.

Please read this support request, it comes from an experienced customer that owns many of your products.

We recently purchased a Xerox WorkCentre 6027. I was shocked to find the Xerox WorkCentre 6027 does NOT appear

as a fax machine to Windows 7/8. This means it does not integrate with Windows Fax & Scan!

The Xerox WorkCentre 6027 appears as a Laser printer, and as a scanner to Windows 7/8.

Xerox even provides a printer driver interface to allow faxing from any Windows application.

However, the Xerox WorkCentre does not appear as a fax unit to Windows 7/8.

This can only be because Xerox has not developed the software driver necessary to provide this function.

This is a gross omission of function and standard support by Xerox Software Development.

Did we miss something?

It's not in the manual and I've attempted to configure it.

Finally, we have noticed the Xerox WorkCentre 6027 does not appear to have an "answer after ring count" setting,

such as answer after the third ring.

Did I miss something in the settings?

I find this shocking, I've never seen a fax machine without this setting.

Perhaps, fax support was an after though for the Xerox WorkCentre 6027?

Or, Xerox Software Development is still working on these features.

Does Xerox plans to correct these omissions of standard features?

This is not our first Xerox purchase.

We purchase your products because of the quality, attention to detail and feature set offered.

The Xerox WorkCentre 6027 is a shocking departure from the norm.

A large number of Xerox WorkCentre 6027 are going back in the boxes unless these major omissions of standard features

are corrected.
