Xerox WorkCentre 6505N - Scan/Fax While Out of Toner?

We tested with 6605 out of Black toner we we able to Scan and Fax.

Hello,

I just have a quick question about the WorkCentre 6505N. Is there any way to access the scan to computer or fax features of the 6505 when the machine is out of toner? These features shouldn't be using any toner anyways so I don't understand why they would be restricted. None of the buttons on the machine seem to function and the screen only displays the out of toner warning.
