Re: Xerox WorkCentres unable to scan to FTP

If it doesn't reach the server then the gateway is wrong (assuming you use the IP) or the DNS server (if hostname).

That assumes that the ftp is set up right of course, but no matter how badly the firmware is behaving, it should reach the server.

Re: Xerox WorkCentres unable to scan to FTP

Hello, thanks for the information. It was set to Passive, I changed it to Active, but no luck. There are no lock files, and the FTP account does have delete permissions (I gave it full permissions for testing purposes). Unfortunately, there ar no log files to post. The MFP doesn't even reach the FTP server, which I don't understand.

Re: Xerox WorkCentres unable to scan to FTP

You may need to call Xerox, I've had the same thing with FileZilla and had to switch to IIS, I'm not sure they ever made a workaround or fix.

Check that there are no lock files in the root

Verify the FTP account has delete permissions

Verify if the MFP is using Passive/Active and try the other

Post the logs from FileZilla for the Xerox failure, maybe somebody will see the issue:

Here is two logs I dealt with between a Xerox and a Konica, It ended up being switched to IIS and it worked for both machines

KONICA SUCCESS:

Xerox WorkCentres unable to scan to FTP

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

We have two models, a 7530 and a 7835 that will not scan to FTP.

The server is running the latest version of Filezilla. I've updated the firmware on both copiers. I've successfully connected, transferred, and removed files using an FTP client, so I know the server is setup correctly.

When I try to scan to FTP through the copier, I get an error this error: "Job Deleted. The job could not be sent. A connection to the server could not be established. If the problem persist, contact your System Administrator."

The copiers are setup to use FTP, pointing to the IP address of the server. There is a blank default repository document path as I want the scans to be dropped into the folder setup through Filezilla. I did try with a / just to be sure, but that had the same result. The copiers are logging in as System with the same username and password that works with the FTP client.

Thanks, in advance, for any help.
