Hi Albazie,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please take a look at this solution for Setting up LDAP and see if this helps and answers your questions. The internal address book is responsible for searching the LDAP records, please see this explanation. If this does not help please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
We have a Xerox work centre 5675, with public address book configured at the moment and we would like to use the LDAP feature where the device can take the e-mail records from the Active Directory Users Profile, currently according to the SA Guide we have configured the LDAP feature over the web console, and its successful in searching active directory records by entering the Given Name and displays e-mail as well
But when we try the same search over the device, the search fails saying no record found, previously we were receiving a LDAP connection failed error on the device but now the search doesnt give any results, not sure what configuration/ setting has been missed out
1-LDAP has been set up, searching names is also working while on the web console all Settings have been checked and applied from the Xerox WC SA Guide
2-The problem we are facing here, when on the system it shows us 2 address books
-Internal Address book (Default)
-Public Address book (Imported Addressbook.csv)
Is the internal address book responsible to search records from LDAP ?
Solution for this issue would be highly appreciated. Thanks
