Will it scan without using Paperport? How about Windows Fax and Scan or Scan (both available by default in Windows 10)

Xerox Workcentre 6505 DN doesn't scan from PC

Product Name: WorkCentre 6505

I am installing a new WC 6505 DN via USB to my workstation, Windows 10. Printing works fine, I already had Paperport installed, v12.1. It "sees" the WC 6505 but scanning doesn't work. When I test the drivers, Paperport says it can't contact the scanner. I look in the Device Manager and under Imaging Devices I see the WC 6505 driver, no issues. Please help
