Hi LDG1918,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please remove all the software for the WorkCentre 3215. Empty the trash on the Mac and then reboot the Mac. Once clean and rebooted re-install the driver and scan software for the WorkCentre 3215 from HERE. If this does not help please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
I've seen older posts (late last year/early this year) about other Xerox scanners not working with the new M1 Apple chip with Big Sur (iOS 11). I have a Xerox WorkCenter 3215 that worked great with older iMacs (Intel chips) with iOS el Capitan, Sierra and High Sierra. WIth the new iMac I am able to print through AirPort but can not scan. The scanner opens and shows document as a preview (shows document in window) then the options are only to cancel. When cancel is selected, the scans starts scanning but gives error, "Scanner reported an error An error occurred during scan". If we immediately rescan then same thing happens except the window gives option to "scan" instead of "cancel". But same message appears after document is scanned without document being available.
Anybody have a fix for this? Xerox has NOT been helpful. Need a different driver for scanner? Please be specific if fix is available, I have a decent idea how things work on Apples but I'm not terrribly computer savvy.
Thanks
