Thank you for using the Support Forum. Unfortunately the recipient phone number is not up to your machine the fax will fill that in with information from the receiving printer. If the receiving printer does not have the id set properly for their printer than it will not print on your confirmation or fax history pages. You would have to get the people at the receiving location to program the number into their machine. Please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
some faxes, when confirmation page is printed, the number i sent to is missing.
replaced by words like "fax server' or 'unknown."
Apparently problem is that machine puts in what receiving machine transmits. NOT what number i fax it to.
MOST times it is correct.
But for the times it is not, it is absolutely worthless, because i cannot prove that i faxed to someone.
I called tech support, spent long, long time.
second level tech [software tech] said it is a problem with some machine models, and that engineers been notified to try to fix. however there is no estimated date of completion.
I think this machine has been avail since 2016 or longer, so my guess is that it will not be fixed?
tech requested a " feature enhancement request I have placed for you. FER 16259"
I thought a headache workaround would be to print a history page if the confirmation page was wrong.
But the 'activity' page simply shows some as 'unknown' or 'fax server'
suggestions? options?
