fax delivery notification issue

Yeah, the manual is a bit confusing because it is for the pro, m, and c models but several things shown in the manual actually don't apply to all of the models.

It appears changing the border limit under fax defaults will result in a one page report. Bump it up to more than the default setting. As far as I can tell there is no way to turn off the fax delivery notification report in the m123. I still feel there's a setting somewhere to do that but damned if I can find it!

I'm trying to figure it out also, cause I did read this in the user guide:

Transmission Report: Read Receipts (MDN) and Delivery Receipts (DSN)

1. Press the <All Services> button
on the control panel.

2. Select [Fax/Internet Fax] on the
touch screen.

3. Select the [Send Options] tab.
Use the side tabs to switch
screens.

4. Select [Report/Read Receipts]
or [Report/Send Receipts] on
the [Send Options] screen.

5. Select the required option.

6. Select [Save].

Transmission Report
• Off – Disables the feature.
• On – Outputs the result after the transmission is completed.

Read Receipts (MDN) or Delivery Receipts (DSN)
• Off – Disables the feature.
• On – Requests the mail delivery notification.

No option for that. Think I may be on to something, though, for at least getting everything on one page. Won't be able to fully check it out till later and will post results.

Oh. Could it be under Fax/Internet Fax -> Send Options -> Report/Read Receiptsor -> Report/Send Receipts?

Well, the only issue is that setting shows up in a workcentre pro but I can't find it anywhere in the workcentre m123! I've searched everywhere and it just doesn't appear to be available in the m123. If it's there it's hidden very well!!

Go to System settings -> Fax Mode Settings -> Fax Defaults and look up Delivery/Read Receipts.

No,we're getting a Fax Delivery Notification report that is printed out and states "The following fax was successfully sent to the specified recipient."  This is different from the transmission report that simply indicates the fax has been sent. If the delivery notification report would print out like the transmission report all would be good! But the delivery notification and undelivered reports are in a different format and are using two pages with the second page mostly being wasted.

Delivery notification is the one sent to your mail if set up, the transmission report should be the one being printed out if I'm not misstaken.

If destination name, sender name, fax number, quantity, time and date etc, is displayed you could be talking about the cover note.

Thanks for reply! The report I'm referring to, however, is not the transmission report. It's the fax delivery notification report. It makes sense to me that the control of this would be in the same place where you can turn on/off the undelivered and cancelled reports. But it's not there!

Hey!

I do not think you can shorten it down to one page, though it is possible to disable this feature.

To disable the fax transmission report you will need to login as administrator.

In the admin menu, choose "System settings" twice.

Go to "Fax Mode Settings" -> "Fax Defaults" -> "Transmission Report"

Select "Change settings" and turn the feature off, remember to click save and exit.
