jams printing 1 to 2 sided copies when there are 3 originals

I'm still having this jam problem.   I've tried different number of originals and everything works OK except for three.  I also can succefully print a 3 page document two sided.  If the fuser was causing the jam, won't it jam when printing as well as when copying?  My fuser still has just over 68,000 impressions so it's still got a long way to go.

It looks like the fuser is the problem. It could be a ''little" stuck.

both trays are set to plain white letter which is correct.

Almost every time I try to make copies of 3 single sided originals onto 2 two sided copies, the printer will jam.  Seems to work just fine with other quantities of originals - only 3 will jam.  It jams as the first copy is almost out and the second copy is just leaving the tray.  Any ideas why?
