I think it is around 250 in templates. But you are trying to do repositories.

So you can do 5 repositories, and each template points to them. Or the template can go to its own thing entirely.

So let's say you have a server, and every user is mapped to that server and has a personal folder inside of a single share.

So you make the repository go to the server share, and in the template for each user you add their personal folder. So Jeff scans to the server, to his personal folder named Jeff. Sally goes to Sally etc etc.

In that case, if the users change their password, PC, IP address etc etc, scan does not break, if IT changes something server side all scan breaks, but it gets fixed in one central location, instead of 50 users individual PC's.

But if you have users scanning direct to their own PC, you don't use a Repository, you set each one individually and store all the info in the template. This absolutely sucks from an IT standpoint because Jeff is shifty, he changes passwords, moves folders, updates his OS, buys a new laptop seemingly monthly and complains to you, the IT guy constantly to fix it. Good for smaller locations, bad for corporate locations.

maximum number of smb targets?

Jump to solution
Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hi,

just entered 5 smb targets in the workflow scanning config of a workcentre 7830. Now the add button is greyed out and I am not allowed to add a sixth target. Is this intended? Is 5 the maximum number of file targets for workflow scanning?

Thanks in advance.

Best,

Tim
