nothing works

Product Name: Phaser 8560MFP
Operating System: Windows 10 x64

I recently bought a Phaser 8560MFP at auction, nice clean machine, owner told me personally the machine worked great.  Got it to my office, hooked it up to my Win 10x64 PC using the USB connection, made the installation using the install disc.  I was able initially to print 3 jobs, but that has now quit working but I have never been able to scan or copy. I have received one incoming fax.  Since then any incoming phone calls are immediately answered by the fax portion of the machine if the phone wire is left connected.  And the machine prints a test page everytime it is powered on.

 

HELP!

Hello jdubb, 

 

It seems you're having several different issues with the printer; you haven't been able to scan or copy.   What happens when you try, is there an error message or fault code displayed?  For the fax line picking up all activity even phone calls, is the line you are using a dedicated fax line?  I've included instructions on how to disable the banner page that prints each time.

  1. From a computer, open an Internet browser window.
  2. Enter the IP address of the machine in the Address field, and then press [Enter] on the keyboard. The CentreWare Internet Services window will be displayed.

    NOTE: The IP address of the Phaser can be found on the Configuration Page. See the Related Content for additional information.
     
  3. Click on the [Properties] link.
  4. Click on the [+] next to the Protocols folder on the left side of the window to expand the folder and view the contents.
  5. Click on the [LPR] link. The LPR Settings window will be displayed.
  6. Select [On] or [Off] from the Banners pull-down menu.

    NOTE: Banner pages will still be printed if enabled at the file server. If necessary, contact your System Administrator for additional information.
     
  7. Click on the [Save Changes] button.
  8. Close the browser window.

2.  Where will I find a link to "properties"?
