Hi,
The idea of having Internet Fax is to avoid paying calls. If your company has several and distante locations and you have a significant fax volume, you can save a lot of money if you use internet Fax. Each device needs to have an POP3 account and also be able to send emails using SMTP. When you send a internet fax, the device creates an email and send it to the device destination email address. The destination device periodically contact the POP3 and get any email that was sent to their address. Then the device prints the attachment file that normally is a PDF.

Can someone give me the general info on xerox units and internet fax ... is a third party providor needed ?

i see internet fax looks like it being sent to an email address per the address book .. where does it go from there ?
