work centre 3325 PC FAX i/o error

Hi, I have a work center 3325, PC faxing feature is not working all the suddent, but it used to work fine. I keep getting an error message " Fax Device I/O error, please, check that the device is connected properly & powered on" I tried reinstalling and updating the driver, but still keep getting the same error message. Does anyone have a solution? My operating system is Windows 7 64 Bit and I am using the fax on a network environment. Any help would be much appreciate.

So is the fax itself working on the device? It sounds like it does not, and if that is the case it is a waste of time working at the PC

the fax itself is working on the device, and PC FAX also works on another computer that has windows 7, but not on this one.

Completely remove the driver and port, redownload the Global PCL driver and install that with a fresh port.

thanks for reply, I completely removed the driver and port, redownload the Global PCL driver for 3325, reinstall, could not find any way to do pc fax or any fax under job type, so re-install the PCFax_v1.05.29. try to fax, it saids: unknown fax error 8004005h. what do I do now?
