Thanks for pointing out the file name, that was the fix for a 56xx, hopefully our customers 5230 will also work the same way.

I will now try this with Server 2012 and validate that it does work with FileZilla server running.

It looks like you are using a custom file name from the Xerox device. I would suggest changing then file name to something without special characters. It cannot create the directory because of the special character (from the file name) and that is where you are getting your error.

In the FileZilla log do you see the Xerox machine attempting to connect? Try using the IP address of the Machine you are scanning to - disable any firewalls up - make sure your network is not set as Public.

Which Xerox machine are you trying to use for scanning? I have setup some machines using Windows 8 but I have also ran into machine that do not support the SMB protocol of Windows 8 forcing me to use an FTP server (FileZilla). Give us the model you are using and lets see if we can help you scan!
