Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please make sure you have powered off the machine and checked all areas for paper jams.  You may need to search paper jam on the support page for your WorkCentre 6505.  If the issue continues please contact support to have a technician sent out.

workcentre 6505DN thinks there is paper jam but there is no jammed paper.

Product Name: WorkCentre 6505

Our workcentre 6505DN keeps displaying error message when we try to print or even turn on printer saying there is a paper jam, but there is no paper jam. We have tried opening all the doors to where the paper is routed and there is absolutely no jam or pieces of paper we can find. Now we cannot use the printer at all. After powering down the printer several times, when you power up, it wants to print a status and then reports a jam. Now we cannot use the scan or fax function either. 

 

This printer is only 2 years old and we depend on it for our familyincluding our home business. 

 

Is there a way to reset the printer to get it out of this state? or is there a company we can contacct to come out and fix this?
