The M24 has no encryption capability, essentially it cannot scan if SSL/TLS or STARTLS is a requirement.

 

Your best bet is to use something like smtp2go.com or stunnel.org to relay the info.

workcentre M24 error sending email

Product Name: WorkCentre M24

I have a xerox Workcentre M24 but can't send scans to an email account.

The error code is 016-505: unable to log in POP3 server when transmiting e-mail

 

My POP server needs STARTTLS autentication, and the SMTP server needs encrypted password, but I can't see the way to configure that on the web-panel:
