solved by xerox egypt

press 0 for 10 seconds and then start

passcode:6789

then typecode:742-058 

type new value = 1

and ok and restart 

the machine works 2 - 2 sided

2 sided output will disappear if the paper isn't plain, so check the paper tray setting first.

If not that simple, you would likely need to remove and reinstall the duplex module, but to do that would require a service manual.
