xerox 7120 error code (27-777)

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

i have a 7120 that is giving me an error code 027-777 wich states that smtp server does not supports that type of authentication i tried disabling ssl tls and other thing the weird thing is that machine was working before on ly thing that changed it was password on the smtp server but no special caracthers just letter and number if somebody ran into this before please help the customer is very angry and the problmes is that the competition machines are working just fine
