Re: 8 Page signature layout

There are three aspects to this layout, the imposition, the pressmark and the barcode.

To enable this imposition use the following settings:

  • Rows and Columns - 2 Rows, 2 Columns
  • Cell Clustering - On
  • Row Gutters - .5"
  • Cust Marks - Trim Marks

Additionally, use the following Page Order settings

Lastly, enable the Cell Transform Mode

and rotate the top two page cells to implement the layout required for this imposition

Re: 8 Page signature layout

The layout also includes a solid mark on the top, right corner of the odd pages and on the top, left corner of the even pages

This mark is added using a Solid Mark in the Pressmarks component.

As placement is relative to the press sheet, the following placement options should be used.

The Non-Binding Edge alignment ensures that the pressmark aligns as expected.

The barcode component is defined using the following symbology settings

The contents of the barcode are used to enable sheet-level integrity checking. This is defined by using the following variables in the barcode data

Both variables use the following settings

Barcode placement and rotation is defined using the following settings

Lastly a caption is added.

One thing to note - barcode captions reside within the barcode's Quiet Zone. Since the caption will be placed next to the barcode, the Quiet Zone must be extended to cover the expected placement of the barcode caption.

The barcode caption is nominally placed above or below the content. To place the caption next to the content use the Offset controls.
