Append in Optimize metadata

Well, now that we know why metadata is so important, it’s time to sit down and figure out which pages we should optimize. While all of the pages on your site should have a title or meta tag there are some pages that deserve more attention than others. Ask yourself these questions:

• Which pages are currently generating the most traffic to my site? 

• Which pages on my site are most important to me and my business?

Feeling like a total n00b here, but I don't know how to add a meta tag to my website, even after trying to follow google's instructions. It says add it to my theme's template file, is this in the css style sheet editor? I can't find a page there that's called template and I don't want mess up my site putting tags in places it doesn't belong...

Any help would seriously be greatly appreciated..

for example - Keywords have value = ABC

In Oprimize im writing:

$FFwfdoc.Keywords$ test

and in resulted PDF I have:

ABC test; ABC; ABCtest

Just add more information to the field. Can include an addtional variable.
