Re: Are there any plans to fix the broken node-drawing algorithm?

Would it be possible to contact Xerox support with the issue? It would be the most efficient way to get the problem(s) addressed.

Re: Are there any plans to fix the broken node-drawing algorithm?

It wastes absolutely enormous amounts of space for nothing, making workflows with multiple route nodes a nightmare to edit. The longer the workflow, the more space it wastes by drawing super-long lines, for no reason.

Seems like little effort went into making workflows space-efficient, so that they would actually fit on the screen and be readable.

There is also a "fun" case where it decides to just suddenly extend the lines connecting the nodes by multiple screen lengths when you add a new node.

Here are some examples:

these are minor cases, there are much worse ones.

Due to how badly node algorithm works, it often ends up being better to needlessly duplicate nodes just to reduce the length of connecting lines.

Can you elaborate on the aspects of the node drawing that you find objectionable? The GUI redesign was done to address the new Xerox GUI requirements for branding (e.g., colors, fonts, etc.). It did not change the GUI functionality.

Algorithm for connecting nodes in FF Core is absolutely atrocious, are there any plans on fixing it?

6.2 version had a complete UI redesign, yet node connections remain just as horrible as before...
