I used two phone apps for reading the QR code. I obtained the variable values I entered. I am mystified on the cause of the problem you are seeing.
I have an APP on my phone to do the reading. I have actually tried using two different applications to confirm the result.
The app I used this morning is called Grato QR scanner. I used this method to read the Alpha numeric as well.
I tried the following varaible values:
I obtained visually different barcodes. Unfortunately, I do not have a 417 barcode reader. How are you determining the barcode is "ABAAAAAAAAAAAA"?
I am using FFCore 5.1.0.5.
Hello David,
Thank you for your response. Yes you have recreated the workflow setup as I have it in my workflow. The difference being that I am using numerical values. ex. 12345678912345678912. I did try alpha numeric symbols and you are correct I had no issues.
After using the numeric ex above I have a watermark that gives the correct response back but the 417 barcode answers "ABAAAAAAAAAAAA"
Can you try that and see if you can recreate my issue?
Again my thanks.
I attempted to recreate the issue and failed (i'm seeing different barcodes for different variable values with character length exceeding 12).
I setup a hotfolder with a MAX custom text field. I used the alphabet as my character set (e.g., "abcdefghijklmnop") variable values. For the Barcode node, I set:
Is this your WF/setup?
Hello,
I am trying to use the Barcode Component to create barcodes using the 417 symbology. However I am not getting the desired results on a string that is larger then 12 characters. i need a length of 20 characters. If I have anything that is larger then 12 is "ABAAAAAAAAAAA"
I am using Max to bring in the variable information. I am able to get the results i need in XMPie however I would like to use FFCore.
Any insight would be welcomed
