Received the following question via email:
We are placing barcodes on all of our saddle stitch books. We are setting them in Freeflow as black using grayscale or CMYK with only black selected. Each time it creates an image of the barcode that is in RGB. Sometimes the press has difficulty reading this barcode if the registration is out slightly. Is there any way to put in this code as black only and have it stay black only?
The color space used by the barcodes is based on the color space used to define the colors assigned to the barcode.
Define the Color Type as Grayscale if you want K Only barcodes
I would first make sure that you are at the latest version of FFCore: v4.0.3.3.
As always, if using a VM please take a snapshot before upgrading. Otherwise please export all workflows and upgrade.
freeflow version 9.0 sp-3 93.F1.44B.86
color version 5.1.5
That's the version of FreeFlow Print Server (aka the DFE). What's the version of FreeFlow Core?
The About FFCore link in the UI
Will bring up this UI which contains the version number
Can you posta screenshot of the About dialog? That's not a valid version of FFCore.
