Book Block imposition with different document dimensions

Here is a way to do it.

The workflow is (I am assuming the jobs will be submitted as a job group with the 440 page PDF being first):

1. Join
2. Insert Pages
   1. Type = Blank Pages
   2. Number of Inserts = 60 (so each stack has 500 pages)
   3. Location = After Each Page
   4. Page Range = 440
3. Imposition
   1. Layout = Cut & Stack
   2. Rows = 1
   3. Columns = 2

I get steps 2 and 3, but how do I do step 1, is this a feature only available for those with the Advanced Automation Module? If so, is there a way around it using just the Advanced Prepress module?

I believe what you are looking for is an impostion node setup as follows:

1. Collect Job Documents = ON
2. Layout = Cut & Split
3. Rows = 1, Columns = 2

Of course you will probably need to adjust gutters, press sheet size, cell clustering, etc. to obtain the exact imposition that is needed.

Hi All,

I've been requested to impose two PDFs for the Trivor. They are both the inner pages of books, one has 440 pages and the other has 500. I've been asked to achieve this as cut and stack so one book will be on one side and the other on the opposite side along the width of a Trivor roll of paper.

Can someone point me in the right direction as I have not been tasked with something like this before.
