Thank you Jyri! Yes, after registry change (was 1) + Firefox language setup (was USA) is all right. Thank you very much for quick solution

If you run the FreeFlow Core service so that the Log On As user is set to Local system, you change the units in HKEY_USERS/.DEFAULT/ControlPanel/International/iMeasure (1 means inches, 0 means mm)

If you run the FreeFlow Core service with a specific user account, the units are taken from that users regional settings.

Login to the Windows as the user that runs the service and just change the regional settings in the control panel to use inches (or mm).

After the change, you need to restart the FreeFlow Core Service and this will be enough to change the interpretations of the units.

Hello Javier,

we try setup WF to be able take X/Y coordinates for Watermark text from CSV. Our operating system is switched to Czech (metric), but data from CSV for coordinates are always used in inches. This situation does not fit your description above.

FFC is 5.0.0.3. and OS is Win10. Do you have any idea, what can be wrong on my site?

Thank you

Martin

It depends on what units you are talking about.

Most UI units (excepting a few that have explicit controls), are derived from the locale of the browser that's connecting to the system. Switching to a locale that uses metric units will change the units you see in the UI (the units we store under the hood are not localized).

If you are talking about the units for runtime variable (e.g. $FF...$) then those are based on the unit of measurement for the system.

I am pretty sure that information is in the online help.

Changing measurement units from millimeters to inches in FF Core

Jump to solution

Hi all,

I suspect this is simple but I can't figure out how to change the measurement units from millimeters to inches. I have looked in this forum as well as the on-line documentation. Is it looking me right in the face? :)
