Re: Color (CMYK + spot?) separation to 1-bit TIFF files?

Hello,

GS was indeed the workaround we already investigated; but we wanted to make sure, that there was nothing on-the-shelf in FF Core.

Thanks to both of you for clarifying!

Ghostscript can output 1-bit TIFF - https://www.ghostscript.com/doc/current/Devices.htm#TIFF

Please see attached sample batch file that can be run in an External Process.

FFCore does not provide a halftoning functionality to produce 1 bot seperation files. FFCore also does not produce TIFF files after processing.

Color (CMYK + spot?) separation to 1-bit TIFF files?

Jump to solution

Hello,

We have a prospective customer here, with some Offset devices, who needs FreeFlow Core (or anything attached to it) to generate 4 (or more) 1-bit TIFF files, by separating CMYK (and spot) colors.

Is there any step in FreeFlow Core (any module) that could do that from scratch?

Or would we need to integrate a 3rd party?

Thanks for sharing your valuable experience!

Kind regards,

Anthony
