Hi,
What is the hotline to escalate this please?
When the PDFs are placed in a zip file for joining, they will be joined based on file name in A-Z, ascending order. If the files are not joining in this order, update to the current version of FFC and test. If the issue persists, escalate to the hotline.
The order in which the PDFs is being written appears to be by file size (though this may be coinsidence). The 1pp PDF is the smallest of the 4 test PDFs.
I am using 5.1.0.7, I haven’t updated to 5.1.0.9 yet. When was it released?
My WF starts with an Insert Pages node, then a Join node, and concludes with a Save node.
The Insert Pages node comprises of:
Type: Blank Page Fill
Insert Size Same As: Media Box
Final Document Page Count: Multiple of 2
Location: After Each Page
Page: -1
Using 5.1.0.9, I am not seeing the problem (inclusion of unwanted blank pages) you describe. I used a simple page number and save workflow. I wonder if there is something within the workflow used by the hotfolder that is causing the issue. Can you describe the WF?
Hi there,
I have a workflow to combine multiple PDFs into one, but before doing so the WF adds an extra page at the end of each PDF with an odd amount of pages.
This works as expected when using the UI, the PDFs are combined in the inputted order. When I try using the hot folder I created for this WF I have observed a behaviour I can’t explain, nor want. See below.
PDF 01 is 5pp
PDF 02 is 7pp
PDF 03 is 8pp
PDF 04 is 1pp
When I zip the PDFs in this order and place them into the hot folder, the combined PDF is presented in the following order: 1pp, blank, 5pp, blank, 7pp, blank, and 8pp, blank.
I hope someone can explain this and help correct this WF.
(Please note, I only have as far as Advanced Prepress.
Many thanks
Mike
