You are correct, split does not adjust the print ticket. You could use the external node to adjust the XPIF after splitting. However, that will require a script that someone (either yourself or the solutions engagement team) writes.
Does this case apply to using a split to different Save Locations? It appears the same workflow ticket is applied to both save locations,
containg ticket information for the entire job as opposed to the pages that was split off.
Yes, the workflow ticket will contain changes made to the original ticket.
Saving from one workflow to another is something that people certainly do. The new job will use whichever ticket you specify in the Save node.
The Save node has an option to save the incoming job ticket or the workflow job ticket with the file.
Would the workflow ticket contain any changes (sheets inserted/deleted e.t.c.) made to the original job ticket?
I'm wondering if setting a hotfolder as a Save destination would allow any new workflows that might spawn off from the
hotfolder to use the new (original workflow) job ticket.
Sincerely,
Jedidiah
