Re: EFI Fiery & Job Tickets

If you look at the properties for the job you would typically see the blending of ticketing defaults in the Queue with the ticket that FFCore submitted to the DFE. However, keep in mind that the DFE may not support ticketing for all attributes. Additionally, FFCore may not support all job ticketing the DFE supports.

For example, the impopsition would typically be done in FFCore. FFCore will also adjust the print ticket when using Repeated imposition. When the DFE receives the job it sees the job as being a 1up job. As such, you will not see any imposition done in FFCore reflected in the job ticket at the DFE.

Re: EFI Fiery & Job Tickets

Thanks Hans...

For example, if I look at the properties of the job on the RIP I believe I should see any parameters from the Job Ticket e.g. 4up Ganged are set as per job ticket and NOT as per RIP defaults or previous settings provided the property is not locked?

Hope that makes sense...

Re: EFI Fiery & Job Tickets

For both EFI Fiery and Xerox FFPS the incoming Job Ticket takes precedent over the Virtual Printer (or Queue on FFPS) Job Ticket, unless the Attribute is Locked on the Virtual Printer.

EFI Fiery & Job Tickets

Hello...

When a workflow is configured to be sent to a Fiery virtual printer, how do I know that the Fiery has received the Job Ticket? Where can I definitively see the Job Ticket or at least the Job Ticket parameters applied on the Fiery RIP?

How can I know definitively know that when a Job Ticket is sent it is being honoured by the RIP, in precedence over any virtual printer settings?

Thanks for your help....

Keith
