Re: Emailing A Job Ticket

I have created 2 documents that should help you with your email configuration so you can use the Review preset. If you are unable to get your Outlook email account working, you could create a free Yahoo or Gmail email account that you can use to send the emails.

One document shows how to setup Gmail, the other Yahoo.

Re: Emailing A Job Ticket

I see the xpif is not supplied by the Review node in the e-mail when "Job Files" is selected. I believe this is a problem and have submitted a BUG.

Re: Emailing A Job Ticket

I just need an email with information sent to my print team so they are aware that a specific job has been dropped onto the printer.

Re: Emailing A Job Ticket

Dont know setting up via outlook account. So typically to do what you are asking, we can use a command line email client. There are 2 popular free ones: Blat and MailAlert simple mailer. The second one is more robust and is used by a lot of IT people for server messaging etc.  It can be found here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/mail-alert/

Of course you have to get this client software authenticating with a mail server before you can get Core to do anything with it.

Please tell me about what you want to send to your team via email. Can it be just an email with information or do you want like a single page pdf with data placed on it? Can you provide information about what you would like to have in the email. Will see what I can mock up for you.

Re: Emailing A Job Ticket

I do have the advanced license. I am trying to send it to a Outlook account, do you know how I go about that?

Re: Emailing A Job Ticket

Do you have the Advanced Automation License?

In the upper right window of Core you can select the ? then licenses to see what you have.

Also, what email service are you using? You want to make sure that email is working before trying advanced items like this.  Are you sending via Gmail or another?  There is a special setup for Gmail because of their security.
