Yes - that's correct. If you specify use of a variable in a watermark then we will expect data in that watermark.
If there's a chance that the particular variable may be empty and you do not want the space in the watermark then you can route based on whether the variable is blank or not and select between two watermark presets - one that uses the variable and one that does not.
I will reply to the other post separately.
I think that the textfields cannot be empty in the watermark. I manually entered a space character behind the max variable, and now it seems to work.
However the upgrade caused another problem reaching the printer, "error encontered connected to the device specified", see my new post :-(
The field is mapped in the manifest and should be printed in a watermark.
Thing is that FFCore even says "Error: no text supplied", see enclosed pic.
I see there is an update to 4.0.2 I'll try that first.
Yes this is supported and it should work (I just tried it in 220.127.116.11 and it works as expected).
One thing to understand:
If you mapped a manifest field then it must exist in the manifest.
However, that field can be empty. There's even a check for empty fields
I noticed that FFCore stopped processing the file when any of the fields from the maxfile are empty. Is this the way it works or how can I reslove this.
Its a custom textfield for free text input but it also can be empty.
