not quite sure I follow this - can you elaborate? the split component usually pulls pages based on the page selection criteria. We do not look at the name - that said, I am interested in understanding this scenario.

-How to push hot folders out to user desktop or elsewhere? Not just locally on FFCORE Server.
This is covered in the install instructions. In a nutshell: FFCore should run under a service account with privileges to the shared folder. Also, the path to the shared folder should be defined as an UNC.
-Is FFCORE PCI compliant?
