Re: Feature Request

We do no thave a mechanism for adding remarks to a workflow.

I will take a note about that as well.

Re: Feature Request

Thank you for your Replay.

Yes, I'm fully aware of the use of Individual Presets used in Multiple Workflows. OTR: There are big Pro's aswell as Big Contra's for this way FreeFlow operates.

The Workaround you suggest is the one I use right now. But working like this with different parts of Workflows all connected together is making a rather obscure Picture of the Whole. Onecan loose easily the Overview.

I might also be convenient to have the Possibility to add Remarks to Flows or is this or is this already possible?

Re: Feature Request

One thing to note - individual presets can be used in multiple workflows. If you edit a preset all workflows that use it will use the updated preset. I assume that you already know that although some people do not pick up on this so I wanted to be certain...

If you are talking about reusing a sequence of workflow presets. You may:

  • Build a separate workflow that contains the operations that you want to group as the "Parts of a Workflow". Add a hot folder to this workflow and also end it in a save node
  • In other workflows, add a Hot Folder external node and set the paths in the workflows hot folder and save destination locations.

The above will let you reuse the sequence of presets and the local presets from Route and Split on multiple workflows.

Two caveats with the above.

  • The shared workflow only has access to PDF and print ticket variables.
  • When the job is sent to the shared workflow, you will see a new job in Job Manager

I will note this somewhere and give it some thought. As always, the feedback is appreciated (feedback on the above is also appreciated)

Feature Request

It might be very usefull to have the Possibility in FFC to group Parts of a Workflow and save them Seperately so you can use them in other Workflows as well instead of building complicated and time consuming  parts over and over again
