The gmail smtp server requires a start TLS first which I dont see that option. I can only select ssl.
is there an option for start TLS for this service if so. What do i have to do to make that the default.
here is the error in the log file
16-Dec-2019 13:26:55,910 [ERROR] EmailChannel Send - Exception caught in Send(): System.Net.Mail.SmtpException: The SMTP server requires a secure connection or the client was not authenticated. The server response was: 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first.
Not much help to you at the moment but I can attest that Articulate are working on this. Mygroundbiz

Thanks for the clarification
As a workaround in the meantime you could use for instance use MailEnable for forwarding emails https://www.mailenable.com/download.asp

The FFCore failure with gmail is a known issue. The problem will be fixed in the next release 5.4.1 in late January.
