Hi David! The customer was reporting the wrong dimensions of the document and so it was not working. Thank you for your support and for the screenshots! Best Regards

FFCore allows the following row/column specifications (see screen snaps):

  1. fixed rows and columns (for your example 5 rows and 6 columns would provide the 30 card imposition)
  2. fixed rows and auto columns (for your example the rows could be fixed to 5 and hopefully the columns auto fit to 6)
  3. auto rows and fixed columns (for your example the columns could be fixed to 6 and hopefully the rows auto fit to 5)
  4. auto rows and auto columns (for your example hopefully the rows and columns auto fit to 30 cards)

FFCore does support Cut & Stack with the same limitations as above.

Generic Imposition Flows without having to inform the format (width and height) of the input file

Jump to solution

Good Morning!

I have a client of a large printing company in my country that uses Quite Imposing software to impose business cards, booklets, cut and stack, etc. Last week I did the FreeFlow Core demo and he liked it a lot, but he asked if there is a possibility to create "generic flows" for impositions? Example: without having to inform the format width and height) of the input file, that is, create for example a business card flow that regardless of the format (width and height) of the input file simply impose 30 cards per page in SRA3 format (the quantity of rows and columns and the format of the final page can be fixed). Another example is to have a generic flow for cutting and stacking, without needing to inform the format (width and height) of the input file and generating a cut and stack in SRA3 format (final page format can be fixed) with cut marks. These options of creating "generic flows" for booklets, business cards, cutting and stacking have always been available in the software that the customer uses (Quite Imposing) and for this reason they are essential to make this business viable.

Thanks in advance for your help.
