I updated FreeFlow Core from v188.8.131.52 to v184.108.40.206 on 20th April and it's been noticed that one of my long standing impositions changed resulting in jobs having an upside down reverse. This workflow has been in use for almost a year, survived previous updates and has processed approx 1,800 jobs.
The workflow looks like this:
Looking at the Imposition I see on the Press Sheet tab that 'Sides Imaged' is set to Head to Toe.
However, the reverse pages in the diagram are no longer head to toe, and the resulting PDF is also no longer head to toe. I believe this is a direct result of updating to the lastest system version and now makes me wonder if anything else may have been changed in any of my other workflows. Should I be worried?
I have the FreeFlow Core clone with managed files taken from before running the backup if the devs wish to check my files.
I know of know reason why a workflow should change behavior from 220.127.116.11 to 18.104.22.168 . It would be helpful if you could supply an ffc of the workflow and examples of the "correct" and "incorrect" outcomes. Another potential place for error in the workflow is the rotate pages node. Is the 180 degree rotate set to 180 in the preset?
Sure. I have a collection of files ready here to send. Please let me know where I can send them to. I don't want to upload them here as 1) It contains a complete FreeFlow Core clone and 2) the PDF's are of a customer's job.
The rotate pages node is fine. All it does it rotate page 4, 180 degrees.
Arghhh.. This issue has just been noticed on another workflow.
Same problem... the Imposition Head to Toe is no longer correct!
I'm gonna have to go through all impositions and check each workflow. This is a costing us time and money!
Right now, I will not trust another FFC update.
I have not been able to uncover a problem with head to toe imposition on FFCore 22.214.171.124. Could send screen snaps of all the imposition screens (press sheet,layout, gutters, cut marks)? Does the output match the imposition preview screen? You may get a faster resolution contacting the Xerox hotline to sort this out.
I am seeing the problem now. I have written an AR. Feel free to author a SPAR. This is not good.

Good to hear you have seen the issue at your end. I'm not familiar with the terms AR and SPAR, could it maybe mean Action Report? but either way it sounds good you've done so.
Just to confirm the issue here, I've taken a little time to look further in to this and I can confirm the following:
All the impositions that are affected here have Layout Tab->Page Order set to Signature.
Creating a new imposition here and setting Press Sheet Tab->Sides Imaged to 'Head to Toe' works for all Layout Tab->Page Order options except Signature.
It's only when changing Layout Tab->Page Order to Signature does the 'Head to Toe' option not work.
As many of my impositions use the 'Signature' option then this must have worked with previous versions of FFC, just not v5.1.02.
No worries. When I realized the issue was with the Signature layout, it was obvious.
AR is "action report" -- Xerox internally discovered problems. SPAR is "software action report -- customer discovered problems. SPARs are higher priority than ARs. The problem has been assigned to a developer.
