I want to set a hot folder for Max Input on an network share? The documenttion seems to indicate this is possible:
Input Hot Folder Name defines the name for the hot folder configuration.
The Hot Folder Location is a location that will be monitored for job files. The following Universal Resource Identifier (URI) formats are supported:
Folder (Sandbox Location)
but when editing my Hot Folder set up it wants to look for the one stored in the the default location :
I must be doing something in the wrong order? Bear in mind I am editing an existing one.
Solved! Go to Solution.
When you select Edit on an existing Hotfolder simple type in the unc path that points to the location you wan't.
If the path was to a default hotfolder called "Business Card" then when you edit the settings the Hot folder location field would say Business Card. Simple replace that text with your unc path like C:\Hotfolders\Business_Cards\
Right, got it thanks, Stephen.
It still is an issue as it will not update, even if I make the folder the same name as the "Input folder name".
However as best practice I am thinking sharing out from the Freeflow drive might be more effecient anyway?
