Have you tried to put a single space in the fields? This has helped in the past.
BTW - #2 is undocumented because of #1.
As I mentioned in my post, it's not necessarily "open" as it has a small number of whitelisted hosts that can use it. This eliminates configuring a user with a password that does not expire so tools like this can send mail.
Thanks for the quick replys! I get a dialog box "Unable to connect to the e-mail server" when I click the test button. Another application is successfully sending from this machine, and I can telnet to the server and port with telnet. Is there a log that might give me a clue of where to look next?
Oh yes - I missed that.
There's a Logs directory in the FFCore directory. I would test the connection, open the Logs folder (sort by the modification date) and look at the most recently modified log file.
Error received is 5.7.1 Client was not authenticated. This is because the program is apparently still tryiing to send a blank user name instead of not sending user info. I'm running version 22.214.171.124
That should not be the case. I would suggest upgrading to the current version (v126.96.36.199) available at xerox.com and then seeing if you still see that behavior.
One thing to note - if you have the variable data module you will need to retrieve a new license file as the format changed.
