Re: How to add a sequential number code to a cover of a batch of PDFs

Hi David

Thanks for the help. I've attempted to copy your setup but keep getting failed jobs with the status detail saying 'There was an error evaluating the expression "Label"??

I'm not sure I'm processing the files correctly. I have copied the Watermark setup and added a Save node to direct the final pdfs to a certain folder, but to use the MAX facility do I stll submit the files from the default hot Folder PDF location, selecting the appropriate workflow with the Watermark and Save nodes I've created? I have been processing them this way but still get the errors so i am not sure i am doing this correctly.

Any further help much appreciated.

Re: How to add a sequential number code to a cover of a batch of PDFs

You can accomplish what you are trying to do using MAX.

I've added an example csv file, which needs to be dropped in the Sandbox hotfolder location C:\Xerox\FreeFlow\Core\00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000\Data\Hot Folders\LabelTest to initate the MAX processing. For your workflow, the Excel field number format  needs to be set to text to enable the "000x" format.

I've also added snapshots of the MAX setup within the Hotfolder. I used a default location for the pdf files C:\Xerox\FreeFlow\Core\00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000\Data\MAX Default Source File Location\test -- one could use the fully qualified file location instead within the csv file.

I've also added a snap of the Watermark noe which I used to add the label.

How to add a sequential number code to a cover of a batch of PDFs

I have a varying amount of book pdfs that are supplied monthly. I have a workflow setup to impose, add blanks etc but I want to add an individual pdf sequence number to the front cover of each pdf for example the first pdf has 00001 the second pdf 00002 etc.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Do I need to use the mAX setup for this? if so how do I apply and use this facility?

Many thanks in advance.
