How to impose 1 single page spread PDF constituting multiple 4pp booklets?

If I understand your requirements, what you are looking for is a 2 stage imposition. The first stage imposes to a single sheet signature, the second stage imposes the signature 4 up per sheet side.

I've included a workflow from 5.1.0.4 -- you'll to change the filename extension to .ffc. You can ignore the resize node. Also below are screen snaps of the imposition node screens.

As the subject says, I need a WF which will take one PDF with hundereds, if not thousands of pages (with each multiple of 4 pages constituting one 4pp booklet) and impose each of these as 4pp signature booklets.

Unfortunatley, the caveat here is I don't have the Split node.

Any ideas would be welcome...
