How to interleave two documents together

Received the following question via email

Can FreeFlow Core interleave two documents so that if you have documents A and B they are combined into a document with the following pages A-page1, B-page1, A-page2, B page2, etc.?

Yes. If the documents have the same number of pages and if they are submitted as a job group, FreeFlow Core can interleave them via the following workflow:

The documents are joined into a single PDF.

They are then imposd 2up cut & stack. Since the documents have the same number of pages each imposed sheet will have the same page number in both documents.

You then insert job pages with the following settings

The resultant documents will have page1, page1, page2, page2, etc.

Finally, you resize the document to 50% of its original size and align to the binding edge.

This will crop the document to the left size of the odd pages and the right side of the even pages.

The result will be a document that has pages A-page1, B-page1, A-page2, B page2, etc. as specified above
