Thank you for the clarification.
Your existing FFC v3 or v4 License will not work for FFC v5.
Your FFC v3 or v4 Activation Keys are required to obtain the new License for FFC v5 via the Licensing Activation Portal (https://www.xeroxlicensing.xerox.com/Activation/).
When activating the FFC v5 licenase on the Licensing Activation Portal, enter the FFC Base Activation Key first, followed by the Optional Module Activation Keys, if applicable.
Thanks for these instructions.
You say a new license will be needed to be obtained in order to uprade to v5.0, but can I just check this? I ask because reading the Description box under the FreeFlow Core 5.0 download link on the Software Page I see:
- Are an existing FreeFlow Core customer wanting to upgrade to the latest release, (At 3.0x or 4.0x? - Your current Activation Key will be used to license this latest version).
So can I upgrade and use my exisitng v4 license?
Thanks
In order to upgrade to FreeFlow Core 5.0, you will need to obtain a new license. The process to obtain a new license differs depending on the manner in which you obtained your original license.
If you obtained your original license from the Xerox Software Activation Portal, you may obtain a new license by returning to the portal at: https://www.xeroxlicensing.xerox.com/Activation/ and performing the following steps:
Note: The first time you acquire a license for a NEW major version release, you must enter the Activation Keys for your entire software configuration individually. For example, if your software configuration includes the base software and the Advanced Prepress module, you must redeem each key before you download the license. In the event that you need to return to the portal to retrieve your license thereafter, the system will retain your entire configuration and only one Activation Key is required to retrieve the license.
After you obtain the license file, it may be uploaded during the upgrade process by selecting “Load license file from .dat’ during the installation process, or anytime thereafter by accessing the FreeFlow Core License utility from the Start menu [Start>All Programs>Xerox>FreeFlow Core> Core License]. Reboot the computer to apply the changes.
If you obtained your license from a Xerox Licensing Center, local Xerox Representative or Xerox Partner, contact your local Customer Support Hotline for assistance.
