Re: Identifying jobs by user

Thank you for letting me know.

IMHO, it would be a useful addition :)

Re: Identifying jobs by user

Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to display that variable in Job Manager today.

Re: Identifying jobs by user

Thank you. I have much to learn.

I can confirm this works and Command Workstation now shows the username of who submitted the job through FFC UI. I can also confirm that Command Workstation shows the Hot Folder name if the job comes through a Hot Folder.

Is there anyway to have the username show in FFC UI?

Re: Identifying jobs by user

Hi,

There is a variabe that can be used for this $FFwfJob.submitterName$.

Setup a printer destination and add a jobticket to it. At the bottom of the jobticket is a field that says something like sender, use the variable there.

When you submit a job with the FFC UI it shows the user name of the submitter. Submit a job in a hotfolder and it will show the hotfolder's name.

Identifying jobs by user

Hi

I’ve just set up FreeFlow Core (v4.0.3.0) and configured 8 users to access the platform and submit jobs and have come up with a query.

If our users send files directly to our Fiery RIP (FS200 Pro v1.1), Command Workstation shows the user name and it’s simple to quickly find out who to speak with regarding a particular job if there’s a problem. However, with Freeflow Core I don’t see in the UI any indication of which user has submitted a job. And when jobs arrive at our Fiery RIP from Freeflow Core I see the user is set as Freeflow Core. This makes it difficult to identify who has sent what.

Is there a way to see who has submitted which jobs in both the Freeflow Core UI and the Fiery RIP Command Workstation once a job has a come from Freeflow Core?

Thanks
