Re: Imposing for Perfecting

It one uses a Fixed Rows and Columns layout. There are controls for rotating individual cells in an imposition (see screen snap). If one has the Advanced PrePress license, the rotate nod could be used to rotate pages in a certain cadence (e.g., every 5th page) -- see screen snap.

Hi Erick,

Can you attach some kind of dummy that shows what the incoming file looks like and what you want to accomplish.

Re: Imposing for Perfecting

Hi Stefan,

Thank you for your reply and you help. We're almost there.

The problem we are now having is trying to perfect pages using the "Add 90º rotated rows or collumns when possible" option under the "Layout" tab. We cannot get a 2-sided 8.5x11 inch document to impose on a sheet 5up so that it backs up correctly if you flop the sheet, or "perfect" as opposed to the sheet "turning".

Would greatly appreciate an answer, or some sort of work around to this issue.

Thank you,

Erick

Re: Imposing for Perfecting

Hi Erick,

The two options for two sided printing are Two Sided and Head To Toe.

If neither one of the settings will give you what you want, please send some kind of dummy that shows how you want the pages imposed.

Imposing for Perfecting

Having trouble imposing variable jobs to our Indigo Digital Press. Problem is because the Indigo flips the press sheet in a "perfecting, or work & tumble" manner, as opposed to our iGen's which "work & turn" the press sheet. This is causing frustration when sending variable, "cut & stack" jobs through an automatic imposition node, so that the pages back up correctly, while also the sheet backing up correctly.

Anyone with a similar issue that can give us some pointers would be greatly appreciated!

I have built clumsy work-arounds, hoping there is a better way to accomplish what we need.
