The main emphasis of the release was to replicate functionality (e.g., Queue Management) that existed in Output Manager (which has gone EOS). Subset Finishing support for FFPS fronted printers was added which might be of interest. Alot of smaller annoyance issues were also addressed.
Agree. Anytime I see 0.0 after the release version, I tend to hold off.
What are the biggest differences in the new version that you see to make it worthy of upgrading?
I did not have any problems upgrading to 7.0.0. That said, you might want to wait a few weeks to upgrade in case some problem pops up.
Fantastic! Since posting, I was able to find a method on v6.2.8 which was to Insert Page after every page, then run the imposition after that.
I was given the download link for v7 but haven't made the plunge yet. What are your thoughts on it? And is the upgrade process hard? We just went through a complete reinstall of v6.2.8 due to hardware failure on our PC, so I'm a little hesitant to upgrade since we just got it back up and going a few days ago.
I am using 7.0.0 which releases this week. When I use Insert Pages/JobPages and Impose with the new Sequential Front to Back Alternating option, I obtain what I believe you are looking for. See below.
I have a customer file that is 304 pages, each being unique artwork (sized 2.5" x 4.5"), and I need to have the same artwork printed front/back on each one. Our current workflows are set up with Page Order as Repeated, but that would produce way too much waste as the customer only wants one each of the 304 originals.
How can I do sequential imposition on the front of the imposed pages, then have it imposed sequentially in reversed order on the back of the imposed page so the same artwork will print front/back?
