Perfect - I updated the post to remove the page insert information. It's not needed since the manual page order will duplicate document pages.
That looks the best solution thanks so much for this. I will start the worklow just now and let you knw how I get on.

We have some customers doing this same workflowfor different applications (prescription pads for doctors and traffic violation pads for police officers).
The key to this is having an external system that tracks the submissions and defines a new start number for the page numbering.
I would envision the workflow operating in this manner:
- imposition is always 9up
- you always submit a 1 page PDF
- you submit a manifest with the start number of the tags
- the usual MAX information
The system that's submitting the jobs has to track the number of tags in order to submit a new start number once a month.
That can be automated (e.g. the traffic violation pads above) or it can be input by someone before submittion (e.g. the prescription pads above)
The workflow would first add page numbers using a MAX variable for the start number
At this point you have tags with unique numbers starting with the number that was passed in via the manifest.
Finally, you impose 9up using the manual page order
The pattern above will put page 1 three times on the layout, increase by 1 page and then do the same. That pattern will repeat until the entire document is imposed.
Hi I have a client that requires a Workflow which will allow infinite numbering on tags. I do not think thsi is possible however I would like to know what others think.
They have to print an A3 sheet with 3 rows and 3 columns of tags. On each row that tag number is repeated so on row one it might say 0001, row 2 is 0002, and row 3 0003 with the 3 tags on each row repeated with the same number. But they want this to be submitted to a workflow once a month with the number always rising and also able to remember what number it printed the last tags with. I can't see how it would remember the last tags submitted through a workflow without you having to physically change the formula for the next set of numbers. Does anyone have any ideas??
Please see example of tag in attachment.
