Manual Page Order for Imposition

Jump to solution

Coming from XMPie, we had specific workflows setup for doing our business cards. Those which were two-sided used "Alternating" as the imposition method which would take the odd numbered pages of the pdf and put them impose them on the front, and the even number pages of the pdf and put them on the back. So PDF page 1 would be front, PDF page 2 would be the back side of it, etc. I can't figure out how to do that in FFCore. Setting "Page Order" to Manual looks like it would be the way (by changing the Page and Increment values), but I can't figure it out. Any help greatly appreciated.

Here is one solution. Use two imposition nodes (one can use a secondary imposition stage -- it is a bit more confusing). The first node is a 1 up repeat layout, duplex using as a press sheet size. the size of the business card. On the second stage use job grouping layout with the rows and columns matching the number of business cards. Also set the node to have "collect all documentss" set to ON. See screensnaps below.

You could do this by chosing Cut and Stack imposition and setting the stack height to 1
