Hi David

This works a treat

Thank you so much

XRXConvert specified spot color to specified CMYK color.xml

the other one didnt seem to work

I've attached two preflight fixups:

  1. converts the Pantone's alternative color space to a new CMYK combination
  2. converts the Pantone to a new device CMYK combination

When you configure the Preflight Preset you need to select the option to change the profile variables which will result in a prompt for the PANTONE color name and % CMYK values.

You will need to change the files extensions to .kfpx . I cannot upload a file with a .kpfx extension.

Thanks for that Micky, much appreciated.

Can anyone from Xerox comment on this please?

This is the last step to get over from our migration from odystar.

Thanks

Hi Rob,

Just checked on my colleagues Acrobat Pro XI, it doesn't have the ability to map colours either.

Re: Map Spot Colour to cmyk value

Hi Rob,

I can't offer a solution but I can concur that the problem is not isolated to just your system. I get the exact same behaivior, as in the profile works in Acrobat Pro DC, but does not work as a preflight node in an FFC workflow.

Previously, when I've had profiles from Acrobat Pro DC not work in FFC. I have reproduced the profile in an older version of Acrobat (Acrobat X if memory serves), which did work in FFC. So if you have an older version at hand, you could try the same trick.

The fixup ive created works in acrobat, as soon as i add the .kfp file to a preflight node the workflow , it now says "an error has occured on the server" the workflow works fine without the preflight node in place, Can anybody help me troubleshoot this? Im under pressure to get this working

Map Spot Colour to cmyk value

Jump to solution

Hi

Using the preflight node i want to map Pantone 108 U to

c0

m8

y100

k0

and

Pantone 443 U

to

c0

m0

y0

k75

I followed some instructions that i had to map cmyk values to different cmyk values, but had to use a different fixup something like "map spot color to cmyk value" but i just get an internal error when the 2 preflight nodes are added.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Rob
