Notifications for all user levels is not available in FFCore 5.1.0.1 (the latest release). The feature will be made available in the next SPAR release.
We have re-installed and we can still only send notifications to administrators.
There was a reply on here that the last update allowed operators to receive notifications as well but it looks like it has been taken off without any explanation. Because we didnt have the ability to add operators in the notifcation process we decided to try to re-install. If this was posted in error then it is a shame because we are in the process of re-installing and we have lost the use of Freeflow Core while this is taking place.
I am hoping that adding comments to this forum helps in the development of a better product in the future.
Notifications are my pet peeve with Freeflow Core. Freeflow Core is miles behind Process Manager in this respect. The fact that only Administrators can receive any kind of notification doesn't make sense to me. Why can't operators receive notifications as well? For example we have server error failures and all that needs to be done is that a file is resubmitted from the Failed Jobs queue. Operators can easily do this but you cannot include operators in the notification alerts.
I do not understand why we cannot add notifications sent to clients, CSR's or production personnel without making them an administrator in Freeflow Core?? Why was this not carried over from Process Manager? is it an architecture thing or was this just missed??
In my opinion this was one of the best things with the old proces manager and we now miss it even more since we are unable to do anything substantial with notifications.
Hopefully other people speak up and maybe we get to see an improvement with notifications in future updates.
